My World, or, Life Without The Snowbird

So my mother is in California again for the winter and Ellie is feeling it. My mother usually comes over at least once a week and sometimes more, even if it's just for a couple of hours. Ellie asked about her this week and did her little "Granny, where are you?" song, the same one she sings when she can't find her Dora dollie, but hey. The twins have "talked" to her on the phone, but Ellie is not all about that, so I put a couple of pictures of my mother on the playhouse and gently directed Ellie's attention their way. She seemed both pleased and sad. It's been tough, and it's only the first week.
